Apollo Group TV Not Working? Fix Buffering, Loading and Errors
Last updated
When Apollo Group TV stops working, the cause is almost always one of four things: your internet connection, the player app's cache, your login details, or a plan that has run out. Start with the quick checks below; most people are watching again within five minutes. If every channel fails on every device, message us on WhatsApp or email support@apollotelevision.us and we'll check the service for you.
Quick checks before anything else
Try a second channel
If only one channel fails, that channel's source is having a temporary problem. Watch something else and try again later.
Try a second device
If it works on your phone but not your TV, the problem is on the TV or its player app, not the service.
Restart everything
Close the player app, restart the device, and restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds.
Check your plan
Plans are prepaid and don't renew automatically. If your days have run out, renew your Apollo TV subscription and everything comes back.
Find your problem and fix it
| Problem | Most likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Buffering or freezing | Slow or unstable Wi-Fi | Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or a cable, pause other downloads, set the player's decoder to Hardware (HW) |
| Channels won't load | Old playlist or full cache | Refresh or reload the playlist in the player, then clear the app's cache |
| 'Stream unavailable' on one channel | That channel's source is down | Try another channel; it usually returns on its own |
| App won't open or crashes | Corrupted cache or outdated app | Clear the cache, update the app, or reinstall it |
| Invalid login or account error | Typo, expired plan or connection limit | See the Apollo Group TV login help |
| Status code 403, 400 or connection timeout | Login refused, server URL typo or network problem | See Apollo Group TV status codes explained |
| TV guide (EPG) is empty | Guide data hasn't downloaded yet | Update or reload the EPG in the player's settings and wait a few minutes |
| Works on one device, not another | All connections are in use | Stop playback elsewhere, or add a connection |
Apollo Group TV buffering: how to stop it
- Aim for at least 10 Mbps per stream in HD and 25 Mbps for 4K, on the device itself, not just at the router.
- Move the router closer to the TV, or plug in a cable or an Ethernet adapter for your Firestick.
- Switch the player's video decoder to Hardware (HW) or HW+ in its settings.
- Pause large downloads, game updates and other streams on the same network.
- Restart the router every so often; they slow down after long uptimes.
Apollo Group TV not working on Firestick
- Restart the stick: Settings → My Fire TV → Restart.
- Clear the player's cache: Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → your player → Clear cache.
- Keep at least 500 MB of storage free; a full Firestick slows every app down.
- Reinstall the player with the Downloader code from your activation message if it keeps crashing.
The full Firestick setup guide covers installing the player from scratch. Other devices have their own guides in the Apollo Group TV setup guides.
Is Apollo Group TV down?
If many channels fail on several devices and different networks (try your phone on mobile data), the problem may be on our side. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight away whether there's an outage and when it's expected to be fixed.
Outage-checker websites track other Apollo-named services and apps, so they can't tell you whether your Apollo Television line is working. Ask us instead.
Still not working?
Contact Apollo Group TV support: email support@apollotelevision.us or message us on WhatsApp with your device model, the player app you use and a photo of the error. If we can't get it working on your device, you can ask for a refund within 7 days of purchase under our Refund Policy.
