How to Watch Apollo Television on Amazon Firestick / Fire TV
Last updated
Most Apollo Television customers watch on a Firestick. Amazon's Appstore doesn't carry IPTV players, so the job is: switch on app installs from outside the store, add Amazon's free Downloader app, and use it to fetch the player. Budget about eight minutes for the first time. Every Fire TV model works the same way, including the Fire TV Stick Lite, 4K, 4K Max and Fire TV Cube.
Step by step on Amazon Firestick / Fire TV
Turn on installs from outside the Appstore
Fire TV blocks apps that don't come from Amazon until you allow them once.
- Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options
- Switch on 'Install unknown apps' for Downloader (older menus call it 'Apps from Unknown Sources')
- No Developer Options menu? Open Settings → My Fire TV → About and press OK on the device name seven times to reveal it
Add Amazon's Downloader app
Downloader is a free browser-and-installer made by AFTVnews and listed in Amazon's own Appstore.
- Press the search icon and type 'Downloader'
- Pick the orange app and press Get
Fetch the player
In Downloader, type the code from your activation message (or the player's official web address) and let it install IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate.
First IPTV app ever? Start with IPTV Smarters Pro. If you mostly watch live channels and want a cable-style grid, TiviMate is worth the switch later.
Sign in with your Apollo Television details
In the player, pick the Xtream Codes login (sometimes shown as 'Add playlist → Xtream Codes').
- Name the playlist anything you like, for example 'Apollo'
- Type the username, password and server address exactly as sent; they are case-sensitive
- Save, then wait a minute while live channels, movies and the TV guide download
Your activation message (sent on WhatsApp a few minutes after you order) holds the username, password and server or M3U address. Treat them like a password: anyone who has them uses one of your plan's connections.
