How to Watch Apollo Television on Samsung / LG Smart TV (SSIPTV)
Last updated
Samsung TVs (Tizen) and LG TVs (webOS) can't sideload apps, so you use a player that's already in the TV's own store: Smart IPTV, often called SSIPTV, or IBO Player. Instead of typing a long link with the TV remote, you send your playlist to the TV from a phone or computer using the TV's MAC address. Allow about ten minutes, most of it on the phone.
Step by step on Samsung / LG Smart TV (SSIPTV)
Add the player from the TV's store
Both players are free to install from the built-in store.
- Samsung: Apps → search 'Smart IPTV' or 'IBO Player'
- LG: LG Content Store → search 'SSIPTV' or 'IBO Player'
Write down the MAC address
When the app opens it shows a MAC address (and, in IBO Player, a device key). Take a photo of the screen so you don't mistype it.
The MAC address ties the playlist to this exact TV. You can also send it to us on WhatsApp and we'll load the playlist for you.
Send the playlist to the TV
On your phone or computer, open the player's upload page (siptv.app/mylist for SSIPTV), then paste in your details.
- MAC address: the code from your TV screen
- Link / URL: the Apollo Television M3U address from your activation message
- Press Send or Add, then restart the app on the TV
Your activation message (sent on WhatsApp a few minutes after you order) holds the username, password and server or M3U address. Treat them like a password: anyone who has them uses one of your plan's connections.
Start watching
The channel groups and TV guide appear after the restart. The red, green, yellow and blue remote buttons move between groups in SSIPTV.
